True story.
When Ned was sent the script there were a few pages missing, so he got his agent to call the producers asking for the missing pages. Excuses were made and he never got them, until the day he was scheduled to shoot the rape scene.
They knew that he's have never accepted the part if he'd known that up front.
History was made.
R.I.P. Ned.

His skin sure was purdy, like a ittle piggy.
My first memory of him was as the aidekick to Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor in the 1978 Superman. Liked him in that, and obviously in time realised how he was one of the best actors in the game.

George Kennedy had the greatest combover ever.
Ned Beatty wore his lack of hair long and proud.
(Check out George Kennedy in Uninvited - a movie about a demon cat inside a regular cat. Also has the eye patch guy from AirWolf in it.)

Network is a chilling must-watch.
Really liked him in Homicide: Life on the Streets. (Essentially a network precursor to The Wire)
Like him in a so bad its good way in the 1990? Captain America.

Just watched his speech in Network.
Absolutely mind-blowing (it's supposed to be OTT for those who haven't seen the film.
